Bryan Family Group’s origins trace back to 1990 when Leyshon Group was formed by Bob Bryan AM and Geoff McMahon on seed capital from the sale of Mt Leyshon gold mine, in the north Queensland region of Charters Towers. Leyshon Group now operates as Bryan Family Group.
Until 2017, Bryan Family Group together with its former associated companies specialised in property development, funds management and investment. They have participated in over $1 billion worth of property investments, developments and property funds across Australia.
Bryan Family Group is now focused on low risk passive investments that generate recurring income streams.

Bob is a major shareholder and the founder of Bryan Family Group. He also founded Pan Australia Mining Ltd (Mt Leyshon gold mine), PanAust Limited (Laos copper gold mine) and Queensland Gas Company. Bob retired from public company roles in 2012 and retired as Bryan Family Group Chairman in December 2013.
In 2009 Bob established The Bryan Foundation, which is the family’s philanthropic fund and a perpetual family legacy.
Scott was appointed Chairman of Bryan Family Group in December 2013 and has been involved in property and investment through his directorship of the Group since 2001. Scott is also a Director of The Bryan Foundation, the Bryan Family Group’s philanthropic fund whose core focus is empowering young Queenslanders through education. In addition, The Bryan Foundation recently announced the second WH Bryan PhD Scholarship in Queensland Earth Sciences commemorating the pioneering work of one of Queensland’s most eminent geologists, Professor WH Bryan MC.
Michael is Managing Director and Company Secretary of Bryan Family Group and has worked closely with the Bryan family's business interests for over 13 years. He is also a Director, Investment Manager and Company Secretary of The Bryan Foundation. Michael has extensive experience in financial management across a range of sectors including corporate strategy, philanthropy, finance reporting, property and governance.
